Last fall, Lennie Rosenbluth called Dianne Stabler for a date at the suggestion of a mutual friend. Over lunch at Cafe Carolina, the two quickly realized that they had many things in common, from traveling on cruises and to Broadway shows to a love of UNC sports – especially since Lennie was the captain of the undefeated UNC men’s basketball championship team in 1957.
They went out again about a week later, and, as Dianne says, “That was it for both of us.” Just before Thanksgiving, Lennie told Dianne that he thought they should get married. Dianne said she thought it was a very good idea.
Lennie and Dianne married at The Chapel of the Cross, with a reception following. Local members of the wedding party were Rev. Tambria Lee, Ann Terhune, Courtney Stabler, Brennan Stabler, Elizabeth Webster, Steven Rosenbluth, Tanya Whitacre and Dr. Wylie Quinn III.
Dianne, a UNC graduate, is an owner and broker at The Home Team, a residential real estate company. Lennie is a retired teacher and coach.
After attending UNC athletic games this fall and winter, the couple will cruise during the early part of 2012. They reside in Chapel Hill. CHM
