In its inagaural year, the Get Heeled 5K, held Oct. 22 and sponsored by O2 Fitness and the Pink Pacers, raised $75,000 for UNC Lineberger's Get REAL & HEEL program. The road race, which took walkers and runners through Meadowmont, attracted 800 participants.

Get REAL & HEEL is a unique program designed to serve breast cancer patients throughout the Triangle area. Integrating exercise and recreational therapy, women are able to get support to manage their cancer treatment related symptoms and increase chances of survivorship.
