At Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance, there was a little something for everyone. From the African Drum Workshop, to the (two-hour-long) poetry slam, to yoga and dance lessons and more than 60 bands performing on four different stages, it was almost a sensory overload. But even with so much going on around us, it was easy to see just how relaxed and enjoyable this family friendly environment was for everyone. Four days may seem like a long time for a festival, but we think there were more than a few attendees left wishing the fun went on a little longer.

Check out our slideshow of the festival.
