The fourth annual Beach Shack Boil was held Saturday, Oct. 1. The event helps to fund the SKJAJA Fund’s mission of providing underprivileged children in Chapel Hill and Carrboro the opportunity to participate in social and educational enrichment activities. Each child who receives funding is asked to “pay it forward” or do a good deed for someone else without expecting anything in return. During the 2010-11 school year, SKJAJA Fund awarded $10,000 to local children.
