Do you like this?

Published July/August 2010

With the gleaming white pillars of The Old Well as their backdrop, Jeff Nieman and Stephanie Poole confidently cited in their vows why they were making a lifelong commitment to each other.

Jeff: “When we first met, I fell in love with your passion, your enormous generosity, your sensitivity, and yes, your smoking hot beauty.”

Stephanie: “I fell in love with your warmth, your energy for life, your sense of humor and – your sincerity.”

The crowd burst into laughter as Jeff, an assistant district attorney in Orange County, glanced over his shoulder at his guests with an impish smile, poking fun that his bride, a recent UNC MBA graduate who works at B Corporation in Durham, had neglected to mention his looks in her vows.

The couple married in a touching ceremony in the center of the campus where they both earned undergraduate degrees. In attendance were Stephanie’s parents, Richard Poole and Susan Watkins, and Jeff’s parents, John Nieman and Martha Massie and Steve and Cathy Burnham. The late Billy Watkins, Stephanie’s stepfather, was recognized and toasted by the couple. Katherine Rudisill was maid of honor; John Nieman was the best man. The reception was held down the street at R&R Grill.

  • Great color choices !!

I really like the two colors that were chosen for the bridesmaids dresses. The two contrast really well and the bouquets are a perfect compliment too !!
