Still wondering how you will make the most of your precious off time this weekend?

Here are some of your local best bets:

Friday, June 26

5-8pm: Mick Mixon and the Franklin Street Band perform at Fridays on the Front Porch at The Carolina Inn. Free.

5pm: Wine tasting at A Southern Season with Kermit Lynch, who has one of the best portfolios of French wine in the U.S. $15.Katherine Nelson's "Blooms" will be on exhibit at the Hillsborough Gallery.

6-9 pm: Opening reception for exhibit of works by quilt artist Katherine M. Nelson and sculptor Renee Leverty Oliverio at the Hillsborough Gallery. Free.

6-9pm: Businesses stay open late for Last Fridays in downtown Hillsborough, featuring live music and crafts. Civil War reenactors will tell war stories at the Orange County Historical Museum. Free.

7:30pm: Bring a lawn chair and a picnic to the Village Green at Southern Village for a performance by the N.C. Symphony under the direction of William Henry Curry. Free.

Saturday, June 27Tours of the N.C. Botanical Garden will be offered Saturday morning.

10am: Take a tour of the North Carolina Botanical Garden's native plant displays. Free.

4-6pm: Singer/songwriter workshop with Donna Hughes at the Open Eye Café in Carrboro. Hughes will perform at 8pm.

8pm: Holsapple & Stamey, American Aquarium and Luego perform at Cat's Cradle. $10/advance; $12/day of show.

Sunday, June 28

11am-1pm: Jazz and More Sunday Brunch on the lawn at Weaver Street Market, featuring Magnolia Klezmer Band. Free.

Noon-4pm: Get your hair cut or colored at Syd’s Hair Shop on West Rosemary Street, and all proceeds will benefit Paws4Ever.

2pm: Take an hour-long guided walking tour of historic Franklin Street, which departs from the Horace Williams House on East Rosemary Street. $5.

2-4pm: The ArtsCenter, along with PlayMakers Repertory Company, presents a dramatic performance at University Mall. Free.

7pm: Bring a lawn chair and a picnic to a performance by the Ramblers (string music) at the Village Green at Southern Village. $5.
