O2 Fitness and the Pink Pacers are hosting a 5K race in October that will benefit Get REAL & HEAL, a local exercise and recreation breast cancer support group.
The race will begin on Saturday, October 22, at 9 a.m. at the Friday Center, and the route goes through Meadowmont, ending again at the Friday Center. Participants can run or walk.
Race sponsors have set a fundraising goal of $75,000, which would allow 50 women to go through the program (which you can read more about here) at no cost.
You can register as a family (which covers two adults in the 5K race and two adults and unlimited children in the one-mile family walk) or as an individual. The cost for families is $48, and the cost for individuals is $25 until Sept. 1, after which prices increase. Click here to register.
