Have you been dreaming of becoming an actor? Well, here's your chance to step into the spotlight. The ArtsCenter, located at 300-G E. Main St. in Carrboro, is holding auditions for its 2012-13 performance season on Mon. June 4 and Tue. June 5.
You can audition to be in the following plays: 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, which is part of a nationwide festival, and the southeast premieres of All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 and Walt. See the full ArtsCenter Stage 2012-13 season lineup here.
Actors should bring a headshot and resume with them to the audition and be prepared to present a one-minute contemporary monologue. Auditions are set in 30-minute time block increments, and actors will be assigned to a time block based on preference and availability. Actors will audition within their time block on a first-come, first-serve basis. The time slots are as follows:

Sign up for your audition by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with "General Auditions" in the subject line. In the body of the email, include your name, contact info (cell phone and email address) and your audition day and time preference. The ArtsCenter Stage will confirm your registration with an email indicating your time slot and a short audition form for you to print out, complete and bring with you to your audition. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled audition slot to sign in.
