Carolina Brewery Celebrates 17th Anniversary_1

The Carolina Brewery, a West Franklin Street staple and the oldest brewery in the Triangle, is 17 years old this month.

In other words, it's time for a toast. The brewery will have a week of events from Feb. 5-11 that will include the release of a limited edition Anniversary Ale on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Director of Brewing Operations Jon Connolly describes the special drink as "light, refreshing with minimum hop bitterness."

Other special events include food, beer and take-home specials for Superbowl Sunday on Feb. 5, and a free trolley to the UNC-Duke game on Feb. 8. On Feb. 10, there will be a free logo glass giveaway for the first 500 beer customers.

Finally, the week of celebration will conclude with a concert performance from Birds and Arrows on Feb. 11 at West End Public, a new event space located next door to the Carolina Brewery. Tickets are $8 and are available at the Carolina Brewery or for online sales, click here.
