The final round of Carolina’s Funniest Comic competition, held last weekend at DSI Comedy Theater in Carrboro, brought four very funny finalists from earlier competitive joke-offs to the stage, each hoping to win the audience’s laughs and votes.
Alas, only one comedian could prevail: Brad Schnurr, of Chapel Hill, was judged by the audience as the funniest. Schnurr (pronounced “schnurr”) may have a new career in store – his three appearances over the course of the competition mark his professional comedy debut.
