More than 200 gathered Monday at The Carolina Club for the annual Pinwheels & Promises luncheon hosted by the N.C. Children's Promise, the fundraising arm of the N.C. Children’s Hospital, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. UNC’s First Lady, Patti Thorp, gave the keynote speech, while others shared stories about their personal experiences at the children’s hospital and educated guests about the hospital’s mission.
