Please join McIntyre’s Books and Gloria Steinem at The Fearrington Barn for a fundraiser benefiting the Chatham County Family Violence and Rape Crisis Center on Sunday, September 25th at 11am.
Kit Gruelle’s documentary “Private Violence” will be shown in The Barn. Gruelle has worked as a family advocate and national trainer for over 25 years. She is a leader in bringing community agencies together to stop the violence. After the film, there will be a Q&A with executive producer, Gloria Steinem.
McIntyre’s Books will have signed copies of Steinem’s book, My Life on the Road, for sale. A percentage of sales will be donated to the FVRC.
Doors open at 10am with the documentary showing at 11. Seating is first-come-first-served. Space is limited. Donations will be accepted by FVRC at the door in lieu of an entrance fee.
