Help others by participating in the American Red Cross blood drive at the library from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm, in Meeting Room B.

Blood is needed for lifesaving transfusions to treat trauma patients, premature babies, and patients with cancer, sickle cell disease, blood disorders, and other illnesses. There is no substitute for blood, and volunteer donors are the only source.

The basic requirements for giving blood are for donors to be at least 16 with parental permission form, 110 pounds, and in general good health. The donation process takes about an hour from beginning to end.

Make an appointment to give blood by visiting redcrossblood.org or feel free to drop-in on the 12th.
