The V Foundation for Cancer Research is excited to begin training with Team V for the 2016 Rock ‘n’ Roll Raleigh Marathon, ½ Marathon and, for the first time this year, Saturday 5K. Team V is a group of runners in the marathon that will represent The V Foundation and will enjoy many incentives, including free race entry and race-day parking, personalized coaching, running apparel and a private pre- and post-race hospitality tent. Members have the opportunity to earn more race medals by signing up to participate in the Remix Challenge, in which runners will compete in the 5K as well as either the half or full marathon. On January 26th, there will be a training run and info session starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a social event at Blackfinn Ameripub in Cary’s Park West Village. This event is free and open to the public, and will feature “fitness bingo” and a boot camp style conditioning workout. It’s also a great opportunity to meet coaches and other members of Team V!
