The V Foundation for Cancer Research is excited to begin training with Team V for the 2016 Rock ‘n’ Roll Raleigh Marathon, ½ Marathon, and, for the first time this year, Saturday 5K. Team V is a group of runners in the marathon that will represent The V Foundation and will enjoy many incentives, including free race entry and race-day parking, personalized coaching, running apparel, and a private pre- and post-race hospitality tent. Members have the opportunity to earn more race medals by signing up to participate in the Remix Challenge, in which runners will compete in the 5K, as well as either the half or full marathon. On December 3rd, there will be a training run (approx. 2-3 miles) starting at 6:00 p.m., followed by a social event at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Raleigh. This event is open to the public, and guests will be treated to free snacks and drink specials, as well as the opportunity to meet coaches and other members of Team V.
