The Tiny Book Show is coming to Chapel Hill. On August 16th, see a collection of tiny books hand-made by artists and writers from around the world, then make your own in a craft workshop. Drop in from one to five to learn how to structure, fold, and create your own marvelous miniature work of creative art. All materials will be provided.
The Tiny Book Show is a mobile exhibition of miniature books housed inside a 1965 Covered Wagon travel trailer and curated by The Creativity Caravan. It is both an exhibit and a hands-on bookmaking workshop.
The Tiny Book Show features hundreds of handmade books, each measuring no more than 3 inches in dimension, and made by artists of all ages from all over the world. Maya Stein and Amy Tingle, founders of The Creativity Caravan, and will run the workshops.
The stop at the Chapel Hill Public Library is part of a summer-long cross country tour and is sponsored by the Town of Chapel Hill’s Division of Cultural Arts.
