The world’s frog population is disappearing and yet many of us know little about these amphibians’ risk for extinction. A traveling art exhibition at FRANK Gallery in Chapel Hill, NC aims to change that, using art to illuminate this environmental issue.
Beginning February 7 through March 4 the FRANK Gallery hosts the Disappearing Frogs Project, a regional effort that uses art as a vehicle to communicate to the public this important message: Amphibians are critical to the health of our planet and ultimately to the health of humankind.
Distinctive amphibian inspired artwork created by local and regional artists will fill the Michael and Laura Brader-Araje Community Outreach Gallery. Mediums will include works on paper, photography, clay, jewelry, and more. All works will be available for sale with proceeds benefiting the Amphibian Survival Alliance, (ASA).
