Wilson Getchell at Johnny’s @ Johnny's Gone Fishing
Sep 2 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Wilson Getchell is a singer-songwriter based out of Raleigh, NC, whose music has drawn comparisons to bands such as The Replacements, Modest Mouse and Ramshackle Glory. Wilson Getchell’s original material draws from numerous genres including punk, folk, country, grunge, and doo-wop. Wilson writes songs about success, failure, personal interactions, love, hate, friends, enemies, and alcohol. His songs are both impassioned and sardonic; comical and foreboding. His lyrics juxtapose the profound with the inane, using humor as a tool to provide insight into the world around us. But more importantly, it’s really a whole lot of fun.
