Paint Party Fundraiser @ Artistic Abandon

Come to our painting party fundraiser on July 11 at Artistic Abandon in Raleigh. Bring your friends and family to a fun evening of art and philanthropy. Artistic Abandon will donate 50% of the event proceeds to Cornucopia Cancer Support Center. This benefit helps Cornucopia provide support and resources to anyone affected by cancer – patients, survivors and family members. Registration required.

BailaCura – Fundraising Dance Fesetival @ Latin Quarters

Save the date of September 21-24, 2017; participate in a dance festival and help us save lives.

U.S. Army veteran and cancer survivor, Matt Bergens, is organizing BailaCura 2017 – a fundraising dance festival that hopes to raise $100,000 for cancer research. The 4-day event, will provide workshops on Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, and Kizomba dances, and will culminate in a Saturday evening gala dinner with fabulous performances by world renowned dancers.

“UNC saved my life and now I want to help other people who come to UNC for treatment, especially the kids.” BailaCura is a non-profit organization of dancers committed to supporting cancer patients and their families during treatment. “My parents have their son, and I want other parents to see their kids beat cancer too.”

After graduating from North Carolina State University, Matt was commissioned into the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg until a cancer diagnosis ended his military career. Along with the power and passion of dance, Matt credits his dramatic recovery to research and the treatment he received at UNC-Chapel Hill’s incredible healthcare system.

BailaCura Gala – Dance Festival Fundraising Gala – Live Dance Performances @ State Ballroom, Talley Student Union

We are excited to invite you to participate in the BailaCura 2017, a community-driven event that seeks to raise $100,000 for cancer research. The BailaCura Gala will be held from 7pm-9pm on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the newly built State Ballroom on North Carolina State University Campus.

Proceeds from the 2017 Gala will go to the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to support cancer research and patient care. Lineberger is the only public comprehensive cancer center in North Carolina and supports research and clinical trials for our community. Lineberger is on the edge of many breakthroughs in cancer research. They need the community’s support to accomplish this mission and help save our children’s lives.
