Although Thursday started off with thunderstorms, the skies cleared just in time for the fourth annual Tar Heels for SECU Family House Barbecue and Auction, and it couldn't have been a more beautiful evening to enjoy good friends and good food.

Coach Roy Williams and UNC Athletic Director Bubba Cunningham hosted the event, which was held on the grounds of the SECU Family House on Old Mason Farm Road, and Voice of the Tar Heels Jones Angell served as the Master of Ceremonies. The evening included both silent and live auctions, music by The Insteads and dinner provided by Chapel Hill Restaurant Group.

With the purchase of a signature cocktail, each guest could also be entered in a raffle for a blue topaz and diamond necklace from Goldworks.

The event raised money for the SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals, which provides an affordable and nurturing home away from home for seriously ill patients and their family members.
