Crook's Book Prize Launch Party

Book prize judge Jill McCorkle with Jay Leutze, Tom Rankin, Bland Simpson and Ann Simpson.

Crook’s Corner is looking for a few good novelists. The Crook’s Corner Book Prize, celebrated at Tuesday night’s launch party and inspired by similar awards sponsored by many cafes in Paris, will be presented next January to an author of a debut novel set in the South (although the writer can live anywhere). The winner will receive $1,000 in cash and a free glass of wine from Crook’s every day for a year. Find submission guidelines at www.crookscornerbookprize.com. The deadline to enter is June 30.

What a great idea!

I plan to enter this contest with my novel, UNTIL PROVEN: A MYSTERY IN 2 PARTS. I know the competition will be fierce, but may I say in all modesty, I plan to win! The prize is just too good.
