worship photo essay 11

"The Varsity is a classic, a local landmark, a central piece of Franklin Street's cultural landscape," says Matt LeRoy of Love Chapel Hill. "Since we are a church with a heart for Chapel Hill, it is fitting that we make our home at the heart of Chapel Hill. We felt drawn to downtown, to the middle of it all. Actually, since high school, I can remember thinking that The Varsity would be an amazing place for a church. Over the years that spark of an idea grew into a dream and by God's kindness, we're getting to live it now."

In our November/December issue, Mackenzie Brough takes a look at worship in Chapel Hill – from services at Love Chapel Hill to the new Won-Buddhism Meditation Temple.

Here are more of her photographs.
