Lindsay Northen, a Chapel Hill native and graduate of Chapel Hill High School, met Jared Bradshaw while they were both acting in a performance of Return to the Forbidden Planet at the Heritage Repertory Theatre in Charlottesville, Virginia.
After seven years of dating – most of it long distance due to their hectic schedules as professional actors – Jared proposed during a romantic dinner at One if by Land, Two if by Sea in New York City.
Although their professional lives are all about putting on a show, Lindsay and Jared wanted to be sure the wedding was not merely a performance. They married by the water in a relaxed and intimate ceremony at Indian Beach with a reception following at The Ocean Club.
In attendance were the bride’s parents, John and Sheila Northen of Chapel Hill, and the groom’s parents, Jim and Susan Bradshaw of Rome, Georgia. Lindsay’s sisters, Hadley Northen and Ashley Robertson, served as maid of honor and matron of honor, respectively.
Lindsay and Jared live in New York City. Lindsay is in Wicked on Broadway, and Jared is on a national tour of Jersey Boys. CHM
