Cover gal Tracy DeLozier stopped by to grab a few copies of our new Foodie issue also featuring her daughter Mena Choi and the First Lady. Find the issue around town this week.

One Market We popped in Ten Thousand Villages this week at Eastgate and these handmade drums caught our eye. Love that they are fair trade too! Caprese Venable

We’re relishing tomato season with every caprese sandwich we can get our hands on. This one at Venable, on a baguette with a side of fries, was pretty perfect.

Though we love Chapel Hill, we always enjoy hearing about what’s going on in the rest of the state. Executive editor Jessica Stringer and assistant editor Laura Kirk sipped these pretty cocktails while at a tourism event featuring towns and counties in N.C.

Have you been to Magone at Timberlyne yet? We’re loving their homey Italian this week, especially the lasagna. loop

Have you been to The Loop lately? After a renovation, it’s looking very spiffy inside. (Thank goodness the fries are just as good.)

Jujube is our go-to these days for fresh, light lunches. The Vietnamese salad rolls do the trick every time.

Associate Editor Laura Zolman Kirk is a Kentuckian turned Chapel Hillian and totally in love with this special slice of North Carolina.
