An Evening with James Lovell – Thursday, 7:30pm – “Houston we have a problem.” Meet the legendary NASA astronaut who commanded the Apollo 13 mission and spoke this iconic phrase in a night at Memorial Hall. Lovell trained at Morehead Planetarium prior to becoming a nationally recognized astronaut and one of only twenty-four people to fly to the moon!

2017 Community Egg Hunt – Saturday, 10am-1pm – Grab your baskets for this extrav-egg-ganza, boasting crafts, games, food, prizes and inflatables galore. Presented by Southern Village, the free event features more than 12,000 eggs for three age groups, ranging from 2 to 10, hiding in Southern Community Park.

Spring Wine Show – Saturday, 1pm-5pm – Head over to Weaver Street Market in Carrboro to sample (and buy) spring wines, try a variety of hors-d’oeuvres, and enter a raffle for a chance at door prizes. With an entrance fee of $10, you also receive a wine glass to take home as a souvenir and a discount on cases of wine. All proceeds from the event go to the Cooperative Community Fund.

UNC Spring Football Game – Saturday, 3pm – Continue to celebrate the Tar Heels as they shift from basketball to football! Start the day at Fan Fest at 1:30pm, with food trucks and activities great for families, as well as a chance to buy the latest Carolina gear. The game kicks off at Fetzer Field at 3pm. Get ready to cheer on your Heels!

Carrboro Open Streets – Sunday, noon-4pm – Experience Carrboro’s streets in a new way – car-free and closed down for biking, dancing, walking, yoga and more – all to encourage community building.
