Summer Seafest: Low Country Crawfish Boil — Thursday, 6:30-9:30pm — City Kitchen brings a taste of the coast to Chapel Hill with a fresh seafood buffet in their garden patio. The crawfish boil will feature a variety Louisiana shellfish, as well as side dishes and salads.
Orange Community Players Present “Annie” — Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday, 2pm — “It’s the Hard-Knock Life” this weekend at Orange High School, where Orange Community Players brings “Annie” to the stage, with a cast of more than fifty talented local actors and actresses.
Movies Under the Stars: “Cars” — Thursday, 8:30pm — Park a chair on the top of the Wallace Parking Deck at 150 E. Rosemary St. for a chance to see “Cars,” part of the free summer movies series hosted by the Town of Chapel Hill and Chapel Hill Downtown. Plus, enjoy free popcorn, giant games and activities.
Jazz at the Burwell School — Friday, 7-8pm — Head into the weekend with rhythm and come see the talented Hillsborough Jazz Collective, back by popular demand after their April performance. Plus, enjoy some signature “Burwell Blackberry Fizz” and take a tour of the Burwell School from 6-7pm.
Opening Reception & Benefit at Margaret Lane Gallery — Friday, 6-9pm — Calling all animal-lovers to this pet-themed Last Friday gallery event to benefit CrisisDogsNC, a Hillsborough-based nonprofit which rescues dogs and finds them new homes. Enjoy a variety of work from local artists, puppet show, silent auction and plenty of puppies.
A Celebration for International Tiger Day — Saturday, 6-11pm — Come out to the Pittsboro Roadhouse for an evening full of fun music from Tea Cup Gin, Whiskey Honey and TammyGun Band, raffle, silent auction, games and more! All ticket sales benefit the tigers who call Carolina Tiger Rescue home.
