Paperhand Puppet Intervention: “Of Wings and Feet” — Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 7:00pm — Unleash your imagination with the kiddos for these showings at Forest Theatre, where you’ll discover what a day in the life of creatures like tortoises or a birds is like.

Father of the Bride by One Song Productions — Friday & Saturday, 7:30pm; Sunday, 3pm — Watch the father of the bride fall apart over planning his daughter’s ‘small’ wedding soiree for three on-stage performances co-directed by Carrboro High School‘s Julia Stamey and Chapel Hill High School‘s Chloe Roth at the ArtsCenter.

Johnny’s Gone Fishing Adoption Event — Saturday, 11am Johnny’s and Independent Animal Rescue are partnering up to help you choose the next member of your family.

6th Annual Mead Day Celebration — Saturday, 12-5pm — Come celebrate everything mead decked out in your Renaissance-themed attire at the Rural Advancement Foundation International (RAFI) grounds in Pittsboro! All sorts of vendors will be there for the festivities, including Just Bee Apiary and Chatham Marketplace with turkey legs and roasted corn.

Meet the Heels — Saturday, 4-6pm — Coach Larry Fedora and UNC-Chapel Hill‘s 2017 football squad will be at The Plaza at 140 West Franklin Street for the unveiling of the new Jordan Brand jerseys and to sign autographs. Chapel Hill Sportswear will be there with all of their new Carolina football gear, along with a face painter, free posters and a walk-around magician.

Music by The Pinkerton Raid — Saturday, 6-8pm — Drop by the Honeysuckle Tea House to be serenaded by this indie pop band from North Carolina. They’ll be playing songs from their newest album titled “Tolerance Ends, Love Begins.”

Movies on the Market: Beauty and the Beast — Saturday, 8:30pm — Be Southern Village‘s guest for the extremely overdue showing of one of Disney’s classics featuring Belle and singing dishes.
