Carolina Brewery Grand (Re)Opening – Thursday – Celebrating 22 years this summer, Carolina Brewery – which recently underwent a remodel – is opening anew and offering $1 Franklin Street Lagers while they’re at it.

Double-Header Movie Weekend – Friday and Saturday – Catching up on rained out showings, Southern Village goes all out this weekend with “Power Rangers” on Friday and “Shrek” on Saturday, plus Dancing Til Dusk on Saturday starting at 6:45pm.

FRANK Opening Reception – Friday, 6-9pm – A combination opening reception at FRANK gallery introduces the August exhibits – including special guest Lynn Bregman Blass of Asheville,  as well as FRANK Emerging Artist Apprentice Austin Cathey.

Pauline Pisano – Saturday, 8-11pm – Performing at Cafe Driade, this singer-songwriter “calls all angels” to hear the dark, yet hopeful tracks of her new album, “Inside The Wheel.”

BikeFest 2017 – Saturday, 6:30am- 4pm – Join the Carolina Tarwheels Bicycle Club for 100, 62, 35 or 7 miles as they bike across rural Hillsborough, taking in the scenic beauty of country roads and historic farmsteads. Proceeds go towards bicycling-related activities in the community.

Sunday at the Farm: Nancie McDermott – Sunday 4-6pm – Putting into action her new cookbook, “Fruit: A Savor the South Cookbook,” Nancie serves up sweet treats and stories.
