Count – Thursday-Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday 2pm & 7:30pm – PlayMakers Repertory Company is kicking off their 2017-2018 season with “Count,” a drama that looks into the lives of six men on death row. “Count” opened for ages 14 and older on Wednesday, August 23.

Millikan Symphony CD Release Party & Concert– Thursday, 8pm – Come to the Concert & CD release party for Ann Millikan’s Millikan Symphony. The Symphony was composed in honor of her late brother, Dr. Robert C. Millikan (1957-2012). This free show starts at 8pm at the Moeser Auditorium. It will be followed by a cookies and wine reception.

Be Loud! – Friday & Saturday, 7:30pm – All proceeds from this star-studded concert – including Drivin’ N Cryin’, The Backsliders, The Spressials and more – at Cat’s Cradle will go to the Be Loud! Sophie Foundation, supporting adolescent and young adult cancer patients and their families at UNC Hospitals.

Brewfest – Saturday, 8-12am – Come to the Chapel Hill Farmers’ market to receive free beer samples from the Mystery Brewing Company, Dingo Dog Brewing Company, Haw River Farmhouse Ales, Starpoint Brewing, Steel String Brewery, Fullsteam Brewery, Oak & Dagger Public House, Bull City Burger and Brewery, Raleigh Brewing Company and Bull City Ciderworks. The event will also have cooking demos, live music, and more!

Wonder Woman – Saturday, 8:30pm – Show up at the Southern Village Green for a free showing of “Wonder Woman” with complimentary popcorn. The movie starts as soon as the sun goes down.

Latin American Festival – Sunday, 12:30-7:30pm – Celebrating its fourth year, this family-friendly event features a bright atmosphere of cultural diversity, crafts, folkloric dances, arts and crafts, foods.

Family and Friends Sunday – Sunday, 1-5pm- Explore your creativity with an interactive, artsy and fun-filled afternoon with your family and friends at the Ackland Art Museum. Everyone is welcome to participate in this monthly, free event.
