Home Adopt-A-Pet Ocean

Every other week, Chapel Hill Magazine features an adoptable animal from Paws4Ever.

My name is Ocean, and I have a beautiful, tiny voice. I sing sometimes when no one is around. I also really love hot dogs. Before I arrived at Paws4ever, I was beaten up pretty badly by dogs, but as long as they keep a respectful distance, it’s OK. I try to be forgiving and even allow them to lounge or play near me. Because of that history, I have some chronic nerve damage and arthritis, for which I take daily medicine. They just give it to me on my tongue in a syringe. I know I have to take it, so I don’t make too big a deal about it. I also realize that I have too much hair to properly take care of by myself, so I have to be professionally groomed about three times a year. It’s pretty neat; it makes me look like a lion! I’d really like a nice, quiet place to retire where I have a nice view and running water to stick my head in.

**For the entire month of October for adult cats, you can take part in the Paws4ever Fall Feline Frenzy where you name your price and adopt an adult cat.

The adoption fee for cats and kittens is $120. The cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on yearly vaccines, rabies, monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives, FIV/FeLV tests for cats/kittens, deworming, and microchips.

Paws4ever, located at 6311 Nicks Road in Mebane, is dedicated to creating and growing lifetime relationships between pets and people through adoption, training, education & care. The Paws4ever Adoption Center is open to the public Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm to 5:30pm. For more information, visit paws4ever.org or call 919-241-8438 extension 103.
