SKJAJA Beach Shack Boil – Thursday, 6-9:30pm – Enjoy a traditional low-country boil complete with shrimp, sweet tea, beer and wine at The Rickhouse, all for a good cause. This Durham event raises money for programs that support local children with limited resources.
UNC Women’s Basketball vs. Radford – Thursday, 6pm – Take the family to Carmichael Arena to support the lady Tar Heels as they take on the Radford Highlanders in this mid-week matchup.
The Four Underwear Models of the Apocalypse – Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 8pm; Sunday, 2pm – The UNC Department of Communication presents this unique performance in which dancers will don masks and costumes while using puppets and videography to tell the story of the end of civilization.
Pajama Party and Social Hour – Friday, 7:30pm – Put the kids in their favorite PJs and head over to Flyleaf Books, where Chapel Hill resident Linda Ashman will be promoting her new book, “William’s Winter Nap.” In addition to a book reading for children, there will be beer and wine served for adults.
Thanksgiving Tasting – Saturday, 10am-1pm – Join the Chatham Mills Farmers’ Market for a head start on Thanksgiving with potluck dishes prepared by farmers using seasonal produce and farm-fresh meats. This complimentary brunch is the perfect way to get ideas for new holiday recipes using locally available produce.
UNC Football vs. Western Carolina – Saturday, 3pm – Support the Tar Heels as they take on the Catamounts of Western Carolina University in the last home game of the season at Kenan Stadium.
Jupiter Ball – Saturday, 7pm – Enjoy an intimate night among the stars at Morehead Planetarium and Science Center for its annual ball. The evening features live music, a Snap Pea Catering dinner and telescope viewings. Proceeds benefit youth science programs and outreach, as well as need-based scholarships.

Carrboro Film Festival – Saturday and Sunday – Spend the weekend exploring what the film art world has to offer at the 12th annual Carrboro Film Festival. In addition to state-of-the-art film viewings, the festival includes awards, workshops, networking opportunities and parties.
The Bluegrass Experience – Sunday, 3pm – Fill your Sunday afternoon with the sounds of banjos and fiddles at the 46th Anniversary Concert of The Bluegrass Experience. Held in Pittsboro at The Barn in Fearrington Village, this event promises a good time for a good cause: proceeds benefit the Chatham Arts Council’s Artists-in-Schools Initiative.

Browse local businesses’ special events and finish the day with the lighting of the 18-foot tree at this old-fashioned event.
