Two Star Cruiser Ride at Beer Study ー Thursday, 7:30-9:30pm Beer Study Chapel Hill hosts Back Alley Bikes’ cruiser ride. Meet on the Back Alley deck and depart at around 8pm. After finishing the ride, join in the festivities with a refreshing drink on the Beer Study patio.

Five Women Wearing the Same Dress ー Friday and Saturday, 7:30pm ー One Song Productions presents a student-directed, student-led play that details the stories of five identically-dressed bridesmaids hiding out during a wedding reception. Come to the The ArtsCenter prepared to laugh and learn about the common bond these women share. Tickets: $10 for adults, $7 for students.

Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba and The Old Ceremony ー Friday, 7pm ー Head to Cat’s Cradle to experience the fusion of lush rock with West African griot tradition when North Carolina’s own Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba pair up with The Old Ceremony. Expect melodic tunes of electric guitars, West African koras, and rhythmic verses seeped in themes of justice, mythology and love. Tickets: $10, $12 the day of.

Murder Ballad: a New Musical ー Friday and Saturday, 8pm; Sunday, 2pm ー For a darker show, opt for a musical at Hillsborough’s Mystery Brewing Company. It is the first production by Two-Way Street Theatre, stars local talent, and follows the story of a young woman named Sara who finds herself torn between a wild bartender and her responsible husband. Tickets: $17

5K for Education ー Saturday, 9am ー Run (or walk) over to McCorkle Place and support Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools teachers and students at the seventh annual Public School Foundation 5K for Education. Make sure to register under your child’s school team – $5 of the registration fee will go directly to the school. The institution with the most participants wins a free catered lunch for its teachers. Adults: $30, teachers and students: $15

Transactors Improv: For Families ー Saturday, 6pm ー Comedy lovers, here comes a show you can finally bring your children to guilt-free. Don your brightest green to The ArtsCenter for the Saint Patrick’s Day and spring themed 45-minute performance of short-form improv. Tickets: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for children.

Carrboro Annual Kite Fly ー Sunday, 1-3pm ー Bring your kite over to Hank Anderson III Community Park to help fill the Carolina blue skies with a rainbow of colors. This free annual event is fun for all ages and the perfect way to usher in springtime.

Culinary Tour of India: Kerala Cuisine ー Sunday, 5-9pm ー Head to Vimala’s Curryblossom Cafe to savor tastes from the Syrian-Malabar cuisine, all while fundraising for the Curryblossom Foundation, which focuses on educational and practical community projects. The pop-up multi-course meal takes guests’ palates to the Indian Kerala region, complete with hand-milled rice, cassava, seafood, and vegan options. Tickets: $50

Free FIT4MOM Open House Class ー Monday, 7pm ー Bring your yoga mat and towel to Southern Village for a free Body Back class by FIT4MOM. Following a 45-minute High Intensity Interval Training, try tasty recipes from the group’s Body Back recipe book.
