FRIDAY

Freight Train Blues – It’s kickoff night for the fourth annual music series at Carrboro Town Commons that celebrates the life and legacy of Grammy award-winning Piedmont blues legend Elizabeth “Libba” Cotten. Outdoor performances will be complemented with food trucks and local beer.

John McCutcheon – Stop by the The ArtsCenter to hear a live folk performance by this Grammy-nominated musician.

Priscilla Renea – Experience the tunes of this singer/songwriter-turned country-soul powerhouse at Cat’s Cradle.

SATURDAY

Bikes, Bells, and Blueberry Days – **Postponed to June 16** Visit the Chapel Hill Community Center for games, crafts and bike rides.

Eyes Up Here – Head to The Varsity for a stand-up show hosted by Erin Terry and featuring Brittany Spruill, Jody Oakley, Marcie Maier, Aaron Cardwell and Madison Schaper.

STEM at the Park – A book launch party for “STEM ABCs: R is for Robot.” Take your kids to the Chapel Hill Community Center to explore different STEM activities and have a chance at winning raffle prizes.

Beer and Cheese Tasting – Tour Chapel Hill Creamery and sample a variety of cheeses and meats alongside beer pairings provided by Steel String Brewery.

SUNDAY

50th Reunion of the Class of 1968 – Free Spirit Freedom and the Central/Orange High School Alumni Association will host a gospel concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of the end of segregation in Orange County Schools.

Triangle Vegfest – This festival highlighting organic and vegan lifestyles will be held at Southern Village Green. Come enjoy an array of food, shop and listen to live music played by Neville’s Quarter.
