Fridays Uncorked – Drop by Southern Season and sample a variety of Spanish wines. Laurence Vuelta of Aveniu Brands will be on hand to tell you about their origins and flavors.

KidFest 2018 – The Chapel Hill Community Health Center invites families to enjoy a day filled with fun and activities including face painting, storybook reading and a water balloon battle. Make sure your kid brings their favorite stuffed animal – Kidzu will have a Teddy Bear Clinic ready to check the status of their fuzzy friend.

LES MILLS GRIT Cardio – Start your morning with a sweat. Snap Fitness is offering a free high-intensity workout out on Southern Village Green.

Movies by Moonlight – In the evening, head back to Southern Village for an outdoor movie. This weekend’s show is “The Greatest Showman.”

CLAWS, Inc. will be at Orange County Animal Services’ ninth annual open house to feature birds of prey.

Cat Adoption Month Open House Orange County Animal Services is holding it’s ninth annual open house, a celebration highlighting Cat Adoption Month. Bring the family to tour the facility, view adoptable animals and meet birds of prey visiting with Claws, Inc.

Sunday

Farm to Fork Picnic – Fearrington Village hosts dozens of chefs, farmers and artisan producers at this triannual event designed to highlight local cuisine and farms. Dubbed “the country’s best all-you-can-eat feast,” the picnic features bite-sized dishes created with in-season produce, live music and fun activities for the whole family.

PORCHfest – How about this for fun with a purpose: Nonprofit organization PORCH is holding a hunger relief benefit at Southern Village. Stop by to hear tunes played by rhythm-and-blues band Too Much Fun and pick from an array of food available for purchase from local vendors.

Gala on the Lawn – Visit Moorefields for an afternoon of elegance. Tour the grounds of this historic establishment, listen to the “Tales of Moorefields” story told by Bill Massengale and enjoy champagne, wine, spirits and brunch catered by LaPlace Louisiana Cookery.
