The Steep Canyon Rangers return to their old stomping grounds this Friday with a performance at Memorial Hall.

Thursday

If you love to sing, come join PopUp Chorus and learn, perform and make music with people ages 8-75 at The ArtsCenter. It’s the only chorus where you can show up when you want and skip it when you’re too busy.

Friday

Originally hailing from Asheville, North Carolina, the Steep Canyon Rangers are returning to their home state with a performance at Memorial Hall presented by Carolina Performing Arts. The band will feature original songs as well as bluegrass takes on popular songs.

Saturday

The 16th annual PlaySlam! returns to the Earl & Rhoda Wynn Theater at the ArtsCenter where 12 playwrights compete for $100 cash (and bragging rights). Each playwright submits two plays that are performed by local actors, and the audience votes on its favorites.

Sunday

Come out and support the Tar Heels as the UNC Women’s Volleyball Team faces off against Miami and celebrates Military Appreciation Day. Fans are encouraged to bring bottled water, chewing gum, beef jerky, granola bars and individual snacks to Carmichael Arena to donate to the USO of North Carolina.
