The Hillsborough Arts Council is sponsoring the Hillsborough Downtown Arts & Crafts Show. The show, called “Art in the Heart of Hillsborough,” is in its ninth year and has proven to be an exceptionally unique gathering of the best artists from the Hillsborough area and beyond. In addition to the art, there will also be food, beer, wine, ice cream and music throughout the day. This event is free and open to the public.
“Art in the Heart of Hillsborough” will be held on the lawn of the Orange County Visitor’s Center. The rain date is April 23, 2017. This is a juried arts and crafts show featuring 37 vendors selling jewelry, paintings, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and much more.
This year’s show will feature an installation called, “HILLSBOROUGH LIVING ROOM.” The room, created by Stacey Green, will be artfully decorated entirely by items made by local artists. The “LIVING ROOM” will be located inside the Orange County Visitor’s Center and will be open for visitors April 22nd through the 28th. Locally sponsored events will be held in the space throughout the week.
