    Civil Rights: Than and Now

    The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties and the Chapel Hill branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will jointly sponsor a discussion of “Civil Rights: Then and Now,” featuring Professor Irving Joyner of the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) School of Law, on Thursday September 17, 2015, at 6:30 PM. Held in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Law, this event will take place at the Chapel Hill Public Library, Room B, located at 100 Library Drive, Chapel Hill. Featured speaker Professor Irving Joyner lectures regularly at civil rights and legal education programs and is a frequent commentator for local, state and national media in the areas of law, politics, civil rights and racial justice. The program is free and open to the public. Free parking is available.
