Everybody loves a good medium, right? And Madame Celeste is one of the best. The problem? She’s not a real medium. She and her accomplice, Jim, have been running the séance scam for a long time, and they’re very good at it. So when they set up in a Carolina beach town and organize a séance, they’re expecting the usual outcome—gullible patrons handing over lots of money.
And that’s certainly the way this one starts. The grieving widow shows up, desperate for word from her late husband. The rich couple show up—he, disinterested and humoring his wife; she with more money than good sense. And, as a bonus, a reality TV producer comes along, keen to find a new show and a new cash cow. Madame Celeste is on the brink of big things—she can feel it!
However, this particular night and this particular séance are not going to end the way any of them think it will! In fact, it will end in…murder. And our audience is responsible for helping figure out the murderer and the motive for death…after death.
This is a spooktacular event featuring the original and interactive actors of The Phoenix Theatre Company and an incomparable three-course meal prepared by Chef Paul Covington, (formerly of Crooks Corner) famous in North Carolina for his special brand of Southern Cuisine with an upscale flair.
Proceeds from this imaginative culinary experience will benefit the mission of Extraordinary Ventures to employee adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Tickets are $60 per person and include the three-course meal, coffee or tea and a glass of wine. A cash bar is also available. Doors open at 6:30pm and the performance begins and the dinner/performance begins at 7pm. Plenty of free parking.
