    About Emmanuel Rybinski
The family vineyard, entirely replanted in 1987 by Emmanuel’s father, is a single block of 29 acres located on the unique plateau of iron-rich limestone of Villesèque, small village situated at an elevation of 1,400 feet. Certified sustainable culture since 2005, the entire estate is in conversion to organic certification since 2010 and 2013 is the start of a Biodynamic practice. Fascinated by his Terroir, each of Emmanuel’s wines is the expression of a single parcel selection showcasing the different level of concentration of iron in the soil.
Emmanuel is part of this new generation in Cahors, focusing their work on making sophisticated Malbec from high maturity of grapes and a work on the tannins.
About Thomas Meunier & Authentique Vin
Thomas started his journey in the wine 13 years ago in a small winery of his native Loire Valley. During 6 years winemaker Frédéric Mabileau, his mentor, thought him everything he knew about wine from the vine to the bottle. In 2007 during a trip in Chapel Hill he fell in love with a girl from the mountains of NC and decided to follow his fiancée to settle in Carrboro in 2009. When moving to the US he decided to launch his wine import business focusing on all the friends he made during his experience in the vineyards of France. After 6 years, he cover 6 states in the east coast and bring to North Carolina some very confidential small family own estate. He strongly believe that wine is made in the vine by responsible farmer, as a matter of fact, his entire selection is made of organic or biodynamic farm led by farmers who understood that we’ll only make an exceptional wine by producing the best fruit possible.
