ISLA’s Sabor Sin Fronteras Dinner (Taste without Borders) is an opportunity for community members to experience, taste, and celebrate the rich Hispanic culture that is alive in the Triangle today. Come enjoy a full Latin dinner with food from 8 different countries, enjoy 6 live performances, and sip wine and beer from Latin America and Spain while supporting ISLA’s Spanish heritage language program in Chapel Hill.
ISLA is a non-profit organization that promotes bilingualism and global citizenship of Hispanic children through free Saturday literacy, arts, and science classes in Spanish. ISLA’s cost-free heritage language classes, taught 100% in Spanish, give elementary and middle school-aged Hispanic students Spanish literacy skills and include cultural programs to nurture each student’s unique cultural heritage and multicultural experience. ISLA serves 105 students from 70 families who come from five different counties in North Carolina.
