We are thrilled to welcome Nadia Bevegni and her stunning hand-felted creations to the shop this weekend! We can hardly wait for Nadia to return from her month in Italy each summer where she shops for silk remnants in couture fashion houses which become the basis for her seasonal collection. Her sense of color and unique wool felting technique turn a square of silk into luxe scarves like you have never seen – truly works of art.
We are honored to be Nadia’s sole retailer, so if you are looking for an extraordinary gift for someone special, don’t miss this opportunity to check out Nadia’s collection. In addition to scarves, she will be bringing her new felted flower pins!
This is such a special show for anyone who loves and appreciates handmades like we do!
Nadia Bevegni relocated from Genova, Italy, three years ago. She is now based in Cary, North Carolina.
With a degree in Pedagogy, Nadia worked mostly in the Tourism field in Italy, planning children’s vacations. Her passion for learning new skills, her love for the natural materials like wool, and the ability of creating beauty with the work of hands brought her to meet the world of felt making during her vacations to the Italian and French Alps.
In between the Liguria and Piemonte regions of Italy, Nadia not only chooses her precious materials for felt making, but she takes felting workshops with her first teachers, Romina Dogliani and Ruth Bucci Baumer. The beloved colors of her pieces are found in the nature of the Italian Alps or the Mediterranean Sea and are a continuous inspiration for her work.
