Our Chapel Hill campus is hosting several Open Studio and art exploration days for parents and children (walking to prekindergarten) during Winter and Spring of 2018.
Our Open Studio Explorations are hour long, open ended experiences where children are invited to use the materials in the studio to create at their own pace. Our Studio is actually a smaller space created in our Community Space – a large centrally located room in our school where we come together as a school community for a multitude of events.
We have invitations set up to stimulate creativity and engagement, and our teachers will be present to support ideas and facilitate work with projects. Parents and caregivers participate by helping children achieve their ideas, without doing the work for them.
There will always be one large collaborative piece of art for members of the group to work on, as well as the opportunity to work on individual pieces as well.
