The Environmental Issues Team of the League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties is hosting a presentation on Fracking in North Carolina.

The presentation is based on a study conducted by the Moore County League of Women Voters (LWVMC) that includes a discussion of the environmental impact of fracking, data on job creation, and potential costs to local communities. Kathy Berquist and Carolyn Mealing, of the LWVMC, will present and lead a discussion on the results of their thorough study. Come with your questions on the possible impacts of fracking on the environment.

The program is free and open to the public. Free parking is available.
