Nashville’s indie dance/rock outfit, The Winter Sounds are back at it again with a new record deal, tour, multi-single release, and song placement in a Netflix comedy special. The band is playing Chapel Hill on their 14 city “Heartbeats” National Tour at The Local 506 on August 30th to support the 8/25 release of two singles and a music video. The band has secured a new record deal with Atlanta-based Logica Sonica (distributed by Orchard/Sony Music). “Heartbeats” is the first single from the forthcoming album, Maximum Reality. The video for “Heartbeats” was shot in the Eastern European nation of Estonia and showcases colorful, engaging cinematography that compliments the song’s meaning. The second single, “Broken Bodies”, is the lead track for the Jack White Produced Netflix Special, “Rory Scovel Tries Standup for the First Time” and will be released as a special B-side on 8/25, as well. The band has racked up almost 600 shows across North America over the years and are known for their emotionally, explosive performances. Tokyo Japan’s Pinky Doodle Poodle will be opening up for The Winter Sounds.
