The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties is hosting a discussion on violence against women in our three counties on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 6-8pm. This event will take place at the Chapel Hill Public Library, Room A, located at 100 Library Drive in Chapel Hill.
Cordelia Heaney, Executive Director of Compass Center for Women and Families, Aurelia Sands Belle, Executive Director of Durham Crisis Response Center and Sherry Shudra, Executive Director of Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services of Chatham County will provide an overview of the prevalence of and efforts to combat violence against women in our community.
The program is free and open to the public. Free parking is available.
