Component Wine Dinner with Michael Kennedy @ Bin 54 Steak & Cellar
Oct 3 @ 6:30 pm

We are thrilled to announce that this October we will be partnering up with Component Wine Company for our second 5 course food & wine journey of 2018. Founded in 2016 by Michael Kennedy, Component is a new-generation winery breaking down the walls of hundreds years of wine blending tradition by offering wine lovers a better understanding of the wines they love. Featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, Business Insider, Food & Wine, and Entrepreneur, we are honored to bring Component’s incredible wines & founder to the Triangle.

All Component wines are made of a single varietal in Napa Valley, California and Bordeaux, France. Founder Michael Kennedy, who made Forbes Magazine‘s“30 under 30” for 2017, will personally lead us through his selections. For this dinner Michael will focus on his Napa wines: Semillon, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. To accompany each Component selection, Executive Chef Kevin Draper will curate a symphony of Bin 54 flavors to match.

Come join us for this unique dining experience and enjoy the Autumn weather with us at 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 3rd in the elegant Bin 54 Solarium. Seats are limited, so be sure to reserve by phone at (919) 969-1155. $125 plus tax & gratuity.

The sun may be setting on Summer, but we aren’t ready to let the sizzle of party weather cool down at City Kitchen! Join us on Thursday, October 18th for our first in a series of monthly shindigs on our newly renovated CK Garden Patio.

Our kick-off event, Wine & Brine, will feature a fresh & briny seafood bar with a selection of oysters on the half shell, littleneck clams, shrimp, mussels, & grilled octopus salad from 6:15-7:00pm. Then from 7:15-7:45 we’ll be rolling out a low country boil with shrimp, clams, mussels, corn, potatoes and andouille sausage plus grilled corn salsa, german potato salad, & iceberg with buttermilk blue cheese dressing. Signature accompaniments will include dill-cucumber mignonette, shallot-black pepper red wine vinegar mignonette, bloody mary fresh horseradish sauce!

Giorgios Group Wine Director, Michael Maller, has also curated some choice selections to accompany the seafood, and will provide a complimentary tasting of wines that will pair well with the brine! Wines will include a Muscadet, the most classic wine for oysters from France’s Atlantic coast, an Albariño from North Carolina’s Outerbanks, a crisp rosé because rosé is not just for summer anymore, and a couple of other treats. Come try some classic shellfish pairings as well as something outside of the box.

Al fresco dining? Check! Fresh fruits de mer? Check! Wine pairings? Check! Live music? Check! We’re checking all the boxes here, now all we need is you and your crew! Tickets are $25 per guest and include raw bar, low country boil & accompaniments, plus a wine tasting! 5oz or 9oz glasses or bottles of wine based off of the tasting can be purchased for an additional cost! Come join City Kitchen for THE wine event of the season, celebrating the harvest and immediate indulgence of the young wines of the Beaujolais region in France.
