Lythgoe Family Productions Holiday Show Auditions @ Crabtree Valley Mall

Lythgoe Family Productions is looking for 10 kids ages 7-16 to star in a special holiday production taking place at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium this holiday season.

Date: Saturday, July 28, 2018
10am – Registration
11am – Auditions Begin

Location: Crabtree Valley Mall (Promo Court Area – lower level below food court)

Registrations for auditions will begin promptly at 10am at the Crabtree Valley Mall Promo Court (lower level below the food court). Be prepared to dance and wear comfortable clothes, soft sole shoes or jazz shoes and bring water.

There will be cuts made throughout the day. Those who make it through the dance auditions will be asked to stay and sing a song of their choice, a cappella. Songs should be no longer than 30 seconds.

All auditions will finish by 5pm.

Rehearsals/Performances: A rehearsal schedule and performance dates will be provided at a later time.

Auditions for North Carolina Theatre’s production of IN THE HEIGHTS.

Audition Date: Sunday, July 29th beginning promptly at 11:15am with movement.

Location: NC Theatre Conservatory/Studios 3043 Barrow Drive, Raleigh NC 27616

Procedures: To sign up to audition, please email auditionsnct@gmail.com with “July 29th ITH Auditions” in the subject line, your name and contact information in the body of the email, and your resume and photo attached. On the day of please arrive no earlier than 10:30am and no later than 11:00am. Bring a hard copy of resume/photo and sign in at desk. Please come dressed to dance wearing comfortable clothes to move in and jazz shoes, dance sneakers, or soft soled shoes. All auditioning must dance first. Choreography taught for auditions will be a hip hop combo. Performers kept from this first part will be asked to sing. All auditioning should bring 16 to 32 bars of sheet music in key of a song from the show or in the style of the show. Following vocal callbacks, a salsa combo and partnering will be taught with final callbacks after that. All dance calls, vocal callbacks, and reading callbacks are this day. There is no alternate local audition date.

Rehearsals/Performances: 1st full company rehearsal: Monday, October 1st, 2018. Show run is October 16th through 21st, 2018.No conflicts allowed. Please click here for rehearsal/performance calendar. For boys and girls who love to sing!

The North Carolina Boys Choir and The North Carolina Girls Choir are arts organizations for boys and girls between the ages of seven and eighteen. They perform in concerts throughout the area and take part in wider opportunities with other choirs. As the girls and boys progress within the choir, they study progressively more challenging music, are provided with educational opportunities; and travel locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad for performances.

More than just a choir . . .

The North Carolina Boys Choir and The North Carolina Girls Choir educate and train girls and boys in the art of performing the finest music in the choral tradition. Through musical training and choral experiences, the girls and boys develop an appreciation of a wide range of choral literature. They gain self-confidence and poise, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and acquire self-discipline and self-respect. They bond with other girls and boys who share their love of music.

Mondays, August 27 and September 10, at 6:15 pm or 8:30 pm;
in the Fellowship Hall at Binkley Memorial Baptist Church, 1712 Willow Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. (The corner of Willow Drive and 15/501)

At the auditions, girls and boys and their parents will have an opportunity to observe rehearsals.
No formal preparation of singing material or prior singing experience is required.
For our training choir, we are looking for boys and girls with a pleasant singing voice, interest in music, and a basic music ability.
If you feel that your child is more comfortable to audition in a one-to-one setting, or if you missed one of our formal audition dates, please contact the Choir Director Robert E. Unger, or Associate Choir Director, David Cole, to arrange for an individual audition.
